The Queensland Social Golf Club Championships (QSGCC) is an official State Championship for teams of four players representing their social golf clubs. In 2009, the event was contested as a one-day Championship with teams from social golf clubs competing for the honour to call their social golf club the State Champion. The event is supported by both Golf Australia and Golf Queensland and is an official State Title and player's are required to have a current official Australian handicap to win the Championship. In 2010, the event features four separate qualifying events and a final at our partner Golf Courses. Teams of two will need to enter a qualifying event and place high enough to earn entry in the final on October 17 at North Lakes Resort Golf Club.
The QSGCC is a stableford aggregate competition with the best individual scores also winning prizes. The team results are determined by aggregating the individual stableford scores to make the team total. Each social golf club team of two plays with a pair from another club. Cards are marked by the players from the other team in the group. All scores are entered on GOLF Link and count towards players' official handicaps.
There are separate prizes for male and female competitors in the individual divisions; however, teams compete representing their social golf clubs with no limits on the gender composition of the teams: all male, all female and mixed teams are welcome to participate. To enter, go to the How to Enter page or simply email info(at)socialgolfcc.com.au with your name and the name of your social club and how many teams you wish to enter. Entry includes sponsor gifts, trophies and prizes. The event would not be possible without the support of our generous event sponsors and partners:
