The New South Wales Social Golf Club Championships (NSW SGCC) is an official State Championship for players representing their social golf clubs. In 2009, the event was contested as a one-day Championship playing a single stableford tournament with simultaneous team division fro teams of four and teams of two. Players from social golf clubs compete for the honour to call their social golf club the State Champion. The event is supported by Golf Australia and is an official State Title and player's are required to have a current official Australian handicap to win the Championship.

The NSW SGCC is a stableford competition with the best individual scores winning prizes. The team results are determined by aggregating the individual stableford scores to make the team total. In the team of four event, the three best scores from each team of four are totalled to determine the team score and the best team total wins. The fourth-best score from each team is used to break ties. In the pairs event, the two scores are added to make a 36-hole total. Each social golf club team of four is split into pairs and plays with a pair from another club. Cards are marked by the players from the other team in the group.

All scores are entered on GOLF Link and count towards players' official handicaps. There is no division between male and female competitors. Teams compete representing their social golf clubs with no limits on the gender composition of the teams: all male, all female and mixed teams are welcome to participate. To enter, simply email info(at)socialgolfcc.com.au with your name and the name of your social club and how many teams you wish to enter. Entry includes sponsor gifts, trophies and prizes. The event would not be possible without the support of our generous event sponsors and partners:
