Greetings Social Golfers!

Social Golf Australia, in partnership with Palm Meadows, Lakelands, Robina Woods and Radisson Resort Gold Coast, is proud to invite you to the 5th annual Australian Social Golf Club Championships. The event was founded on the camaraderie and goodwill that exists within the social golf club fraternity, and was first contested at Palm Meadows in 2004. Today, it has become an opportunity for social golfers and social golf club members from around Australia to compete for an official national Championship supported by Golf Australia, while sharing four days of fun with friends on and off the golf course.

This year we have made a number of changes to the Championships:

A new Tournament Director – Matthew Pitt (yours truly) from Social Golf Australia will be managing the event with assistance from Michelle Van den Broek at Event HQ.
The emphasis will return to the team event: the big prize of the Championships will be the title of official national Champions for the club of the winning team.
Two new courses have been added to the roster: Lakelands & Robina Woods.
An afternoon shotgun start on Monday and a morning shotgun start on Tuesday.
Male and female competitors will each play from a single set of tees (blue & red).
A Perpetual Trophy will be struck to commemorate the annual Champion Club.
We welcome to the event new sponsors Wilson Staff, bwired online solutions and Heathcote Winery.

The event is now the centrepiece of a growing national network of official State Social Golf Club Championships being developed by Social Golf Australia.

And some things will remain the same: the event is renowned for being a wonderful opportunity for friends and club mates to get away and enjoy four days of sun-soaked, fun-filled excitement on the Gold Coast playing some wonderful courses, enjoying the cut and thrust of competing for an official national Championship, and meeting like-minded social golfers from around Australia. We are also grateful for the ongoing support of Inside Golf magazine as the major print partner of the event, Golf Australia, and the original event founders Palm Meadows in partnership with Radisson Resort Gold Coast.
